Gerald Patnode (Gerry) has a varied and extensive business and academic career that spans forty years. He has enjoyed a relationship with York College of Pennsylvania since 1999 when he joined the adjunct faculty and a full time “Visiting Faculty” since 2003. 
Prior to joining York College, he served twelve years as President and CEO of  Applied Management Solutions, LLC, an economic development and economic research company with clients throughout the United States. In addition, he served as the President of the Institute for Enterprise Development in Washington, D.C.; an organization that partnered with university entrepreneurial centers in providing programs to develop entrepreneurial activity. Gerry has also served on the faculties of the Johns Hopkins University as a visiting assistant professor, and on the faculties of Loyola College in Maryland and Gettysburg College as an assistant professor of Business. Additionally Gerry served as the Dean of the School of Business at the Baltimore International College.  Dr Patnode was the On Air Political analyst for WBAL-TV in Baltimore and the host of a weekly Maryland Public Television program on business and politics. As an entrepreneur, he is the founder of several businesses including Unicom Corporation which was acquired by NCR and Delta Publishing, which is now part of McMillan Publishing. 
Dr. Patnode has served on the Federal Advisory Board for the Small Business  Administration, a Small Business Advisory Council to the U.S. Senate, Baltimore County MD Economic Development Commission and Task Force, The Adams County  PA Economic Development Commission, Served as the Chairman of the Baltimore County Personnel Board, where he oversaw labor and human resources issues. Dr Patnode currently serves on the boards of several Maryland organizations.
His education includes a doctorate in Leadership and Change from the Fielding Graduate University, a Masters of Science in Marketing from Temple University, a Masters of Business Administration, from the Maryland University and State College System, and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Old Dominion University.
He holds professional memberships in the American Marketing Association, Sales and Marketing Executives International, Academy of Management, American Association of Political Consultants, and the American Association of Public Opinion Research.
